Host Responsibilities
This page outlines the general responsibilities of hosts who list properties or services on GoBaguio Hub. These responsibilities apply in addition to any specific terms agreed between the host and GoBaguio Hub.
1. Accurate and Honest Listings
Hosts must ensure that the information in their listings, including photos, descriptions, amenities, pricing, and availability, is accurate and not misleading. Any significant changes to the property or service should be promptly reflected in the listing.
2. Safe and Lawful Accommodation
Hosts are responsible for ensuring that their property or service is safe, clean, and complies with applicable laws, regulations, and building or safety standards. This includes, where required, having appropriate permits, licenses, and insurance.
3. Respectful Communication
Hosts should communicate with guests in a clear, respectful, and timely manner before, during, and after the stay. This includes providing check-in instructions, answering relevant questions, and addressing reasonable concerns raised by guests.
4. Honoring Confirmed Bookings
Once a booking is confirmed, hosts are expected to honor it except in exceptional circumstances, such as safety issues or events beyond their control. Unjustified cancellations by hosts can negatively impact guest experience and may lead to consequences under platform policies.
5. Protection of Guest Data and Privacy
Hosts must handle guest information responsibly and only use it for legitimate booking-related purposes, such as coordinating check-in or complying with legal obligations. Hosts should not share guest data with third parties except where required by law or with the guest's consent.
6. Compliance with House Rules and Policies
Hosts may set reasonable house rules for their property, but these rules must be consistent with the law and platform policies. Hosts are responsible for clearly communicating these rules in the listing and enforcing them fairly and consistently.
