Host Legal Compliance Clause
This clause summarizes a host’s duty to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when listing and operating accommodations or services through GoBaguio Hub.
1. Local Laws and Permits
Hosts are responsible for ensuring that their activities on the platform comply with local, regional, and national laws. This can include zoning rules, business permits, tourism regulations, lodging licenses, and any other approvals required to legally offer short-term stays or related services.
2. Tax Obligations
Hosts are solely responsible for understanding and fulfilling any tax obligations arising from their earnings, including income tax, value-added tax, occupancy tax, or similar levies. Hosts should consult a qualified professional or the relevant authorities if they are unsure of their obligations.
3. Safety, Health, and Building Standards
Hosts must ensure that their properties or services meet applicable safety, health, and building standards. This may include fire safety requirements, sanitation rules, and structural regulations intended to protect guests and neighbors.
4. Insurance and Liability Coverage
Where appropriate or required by law, hosts should maintain suitable insurance coverage for their properties and activities, such as property insurance or liability insurance. GoBaguio Hub does not provide legal or insurance advice and cannot guarantee coverage for specific incidents.
5. Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with applicable laws or this clause may result in consequences such as removal of listings, suspension or termination of the host’s account, or other actions deemed appropriate under platform policies, in addition to any penalties that may be imposed by authorities.
